We've put our hearts and hands into the vision of this lab

Chafic Kolaylat

Co-Founder

A Deaf creative professional, Art Director, and representative of Deaf individuals in Lebanon at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Naila Al Hares

Co-Founder

A performing storyteller, sign language interpreter and CODA (child of Deaf Adults) advocating for the Deaf through arts.

This is literally about a lifetime of experience. Make it two lifetimes! A Deaf innovator and a creative CODA.

Chafic, being Deaf, brings the soul and culture of the Deaf world, while Naila, being an artist and a CODA, brings the outside perspective and the bridge of communication between the 2 worlds.

Both frustrated by the lack of accessible, authentic sign language education and development in the region, they decided to build what they knew was missing.

Together, they created the lab they wish existed years ago—a vibrant, welcoming space for you to learn, connect, and become an ally.
